Hey y'all!

Post by Eden »

I'm Eden, a BL(aoa is 7-14) in my early 30s. I'm firmly in the pro-choice/reform camp, although I think a more pragmatic approach is probably the most realistic way forward. I've been active in various map communities for about 9 or so years, including previous moderator positions on the now defunct Young City, as well as MSC earlier in it's history; I'm most active on BM and OMC these days, however. As of late, I've had an inkling to engage in more serious activism, though I'm not sure what's the best way to proceed with this drive of mine(blog? informative videos? podcast possibly?). I do know that I want to help in pumping the brakes on this insanity that's being perpetuated by society, or with a stroke of luck, perhaps even shift the overton window in the opposite direction. Hopefully I can be of use in some form.

Oh...some non-map/normie stuff about me: I'm an anarchist without adjectives, car enthusiast, 3d printing enthusiast, into metal and hardcore, and also into outdoors-y stuff.

Welcome.

Do let us know how it's going with OMC.

I tried to join their Matrix group - seems inactive.

How long ago was that? It's possible that you caught us on an off day, but the chat is pretty active most days. We've had quite a few new members join in the past month or so, so it's been especially active as of late.

Hey, it's nice to see another anarchist MAP who's into metal and hardcore (there's gotta be more of us out there, doesn't there?). Got any recs for bands that you think more people should be into?

I'm similar in that I have a drive that seems to be going nowhere. I guess that's why forums like this are good, since you can get some ideas from what others are doing.
