Yeah, I read shit like that and it makes me glad that I am not a teacher. I have some relatives who are teachers but I have never really talked with them much about it.
Yes, but they should be proportionate. The boys are 7-8yo. Let's not go American on them.
FYI I am American. But if you are correct. My own country has really gone overboard with this shit. What do you suggest should be done about it?

I can certainly understand why you feel this way. However, I also think that it is best to not automatically assume that it is parents who are doing the indoctrinating.

A person allegedly responsible for the death of a young man in the south area of Bogotá was prosecuted
https://www.fiscalia.gov.co/colombia/en ... rosecuted/
The defendant allegedly attacked the victim with a firearm in the midst of an act of intolerance.
The Attorney General’s Office brought Andrés Camilo Sotelo Torres before a judge as the alleged person responsible for attacking Juan Felipe Rincón Morales with a firearm and causing his death on November 24 in Quiroga neighborhood, in Rafael Uribe Uribe area, in the south area of Bogotá.
In this sense, a prosecutor appointed to the Sectional Office in Bogotá charged him with aggravated intentional homicide; and manufacture, trafficking or possession of firearms or ammunition. He did not plead guilty to the charges.
The evidence obtained by a specialized team from the Technical Investigative Corps (Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación CTI) revealed that the victim arrived at the area and was intercepted by several people, among them Sotelo Torres, who during an argument and in an act of intolerance, apparently, shot him with a revolver.
The alleged aggressor was wounded in one of his legs, as a result of the reaction of the young man’s bodyguard. In the next few hours he will undergo surgery, so the judge suspended the hearing to issue a precautionary measure while the procedure is carried out and his recovery is guaranteed.
The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General. By the time this communication is disclosed, the legal status of the people mentioned is still pending to be resolved by the competent judicial authority, always under the presumption of innocence contemplated by Article 29 of the Political Constitution and Article 7 of Law 906 of 2004.

Colombian top cop’s slain son accused of sexting girls as young as 8
The son of the third-highest official in Colombia’s National Police was murdered on Sunday morning under murky circumstances in Bogotá’s Quiroga neighbourhood.
In the days since the killing, new details have further complicated the high-profile case. Fresh revelations suggest Juan Felipe Rincón Morales, 21, was attacked as revenge for sending and requesting explicit images with minors as young as 8.
The case is made even more complex by witness testimonies that claim that the fatal shots were fired by Rincón Morales’ own police bodyguard, who multiple sources described as being under the influence of drugs.
What do officials say?
The official account of the crime was provided by the Technical Investigation Body (Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación-CTI), a division of the Colombian Attorney General’s Office.
According to officials, the 21-year-old son of Police Inspector General William Rincón was reported to have been dropping off his 15-year-old romantic partner at her house after a date.
His armed escort stayed in the car but went to investigate when Rincón Morales did not return. The bodyguard then allegedly found the man he was entrusted to protect being attacked by a group of seven to nine people.
The bodyguard’s intervention sparked an exchange of fire with an armed man, who had a revolver. Rincón Morales was said to have been caught in the crossfire, sustaining fatal wounds.
The police arrested Andrés Camilo Sotelo Torres, 27, who they say was found in possession of a revolver. He was brought before the Prosecutor’s Office and charged with murder, which he denied.
The suspect maintains that his weapon was a pellet gun and that Rincón Morales was shot by his own bodyguard.
Allegations of child abuse
In recent days, new revelations have emerged suggesting that the 21-year-old policeman’s son was messaging at least two underage girls in the Quiroga neighbourhood.
Colombian media have published chats between Rincón Morales and the 15-year-old, in addition to CCTV footage from an apartment showing they spent the night together.
Others report that Rincón Morales’ social media accounts reveal conversations with an eight-year-old girl on Instagram, requesting explicit pictures from her and sending her lewd images.
According to witnesses, the altercation on Sunday began when family members and neighbors of one of the minors angrily confronted the 21-year-old.
The stepfather to the 15-year-old girl spoke to El Tiempo, sharing his account of how the 8-year-old’s mother had laid a trap for the policeman’s son.
“The deceased was sending messages and photos to the 8-year-old girl on social media. The mother noticed this and set a trap for him to go to the house,” he recounted.
He then described that when Rincón Morales arrived at the house, the young girl’s mother confronted him and was joined by several angry family members and neighbors.
A CCTV video shows part of the fight between the neighborhood locals and the policeman’s son, with the bodyguard intervening with his gun drawn.
One of those confronting the policeman’s son was Sotelo Torres, the 15-year-old girl’s uncle, who is accused of murdering the 21-year-old.
It is unclear if there is any relation between the two minors who were approached by Rincón Morales.
Did the bodyguard do it?
The partner of the accused Sotelo Torres spoke to Caracol Radio, accusing the police bodyguard of shooting indiscriminately into the crowd as they fought with Rincón Morales.
“The bodyguard, I don’t know if he was under the influence of a drug, began to draw his weapon and started shooting at us all,” she claimed.
The 15-year-old girl’s stepfather also suggested that the guard was acting erratically and appeared to be “on drugs.”
Both witnesses maintain that it was the bodyguard who killed Rincón Morales, not the accused Sotelo Torres.
This alternative version of events has complicated the ongoing investigation and the prosecutor has announced a new line of inquiry into the policeman’s son’s relationships with underage girls.
Nevertheless, Sotelo Torres remains the key suspect in the murder inquiry. Court proceedings have been paused while the 27-year-old receives treatment for a gunshot wound to his left leg.
Much remains unclear about the killing and police inquiries continue.

Juan Felipe Rincón's mother questions the parents of a 15-year-old girl: "It's normal"

Juan Felipe Rincón's mother, Dina Morales, broke her silence after the death of her son. After her recent statements through Facebook and recently in an interview with Noticias Caracol, the woman took advantage of the space to clarify rumors about the case, express her pain and launch strong questions towards the family of the minor linked to the incident.
During the interview, Dina Morales said she was convinced that her son was the victim of an ambush on the day of his death. "If they really wanted to confront him, why were they armed? My son arrived alone. There were three men and two women, was it necessary so much to face him? This was not a confrontation, it was a trap," she said, visibly affected.
Dina also questioned allegations that Juan Felipe, 21, was in a relationship with a minor girl. According to her testimony, she was unaware of this situation and considers that the actions against her son are not justified. "If my son was really doing something wrong, why didn't they report him to the authorities? This was not handled legally; My son was ambushed," she added.
Juan Felipe Rincón's mom launched harsh questions
Dina Morales also pointed her criticism at the family of the minor involved in the case. "If they say they had been in a relationship for three months, where were the parents? A girl with values should not be left out of her house without her parents noticing. I do not justify what my son may have done, but parents also have responsibility," she said.
At a controversial point in the interview, Dina defended her son by pointing out that relationships between older men and underage women are common: "Have you never seen an older man with a younger one? Because I do, a lot. I'm not saying it's okay, but you can't judge my son without seeing that girl's surroundings either," she said.
Dina Morales, mother of Juan Felipe Rincón spoke about how her son was like
The ex-wife of General William Rincón, Juan Felipe's father, described his son as a hardworking, humble and responsible young man. "He was a detail-oriented person, who made jokes out of everything and never gave us serious problems." He also revealed that he had been living alone for two months in Bogotá and he really liked sports and going to the gym. "For me, he was still very innocent in several aspects, even though he was of age," she recalled sadly.
The mother reiterated her bewilderment at the place where the murder occurred. "I don't know what he was doing in the Quiroga neighborhood. That was not a place he frequented. When they told me what happened, I couldn't believe it. It hurts me a lot how they attacked him," she commented.
Finally, Dina Morales asked for respect for her pain and left a clear message: "I hope that the investigations clarify everything. My son had no record, but those responsible for his death must be held accountable. Juan Felipe was unjustly killed."

This is completely outrageous.
Another poor guy who is a victim of vigilante groups, I hope those responsible will be held accountable.
What is happening right now on X with this case is unbelievable, antis justifying the murder of an innocent person only because of their puritanical values, that is how far the radicalism imposed by the US has come.

This situation is so utterly shameful that it is impossible for Mu to not let it pass, MAP Union must condemn this type of behavior publicly.

Mom burnt daughter’s rapist alive after he taunted her following prison release
https://www.unilad.com/news/world-news/ ... 0-20240802
Mom María del Carmen García set alight to her daughter's rapist after he was allowed out of prison early and spoke to her
A mom set fire to a man who raped her daughter and was sent to prison for killing him.
In October 1998, 13-year-old Verónica Rodríguez García from Benejúzar in Alicante, Spain, was raped at knifepoint by her 63-year-old neighbor Antonio Cosme.
Cosme was found guilty and sentenced to prison, however, the ordeal was far from over.
It's reported at the time the teenager accused her neighbor of rape, local residents were left divided, many refusing to believe it could have occurred and others standing by her, Meaww reports.
Verónica's mom María del Carmen García was left to support her traumatized daughter, alongside withstanding negative viewpoints, all while trying to seek some sort of justice.
Antonio Cosme was later found guilty and sentenced to nine years in prison, but upon his release seven years later on parole, he reportedly bumped into María.
Around June 2005, Cosme allegedly ran into María and asked her, as quoted by El Pais: "How’s your daughter?"
María reportedly then went to buy a bottle of gasoline, found Cosme, poured the fuel all over him and set him alight.
It's reported Cosme died a week later as a result of the burns he suffered.
The mom was found guilty and sentenced for the rapist's killing in July 2009, receiving nine-and-a-half years.
Petitions were started and numerous appeals were launched, many outraged by the mother's conviction and sentencing given what Cosme had done to her daughter.
In 2010, her sentence was reduced to five-and-a-half years after her attorney pleaded she had acted under temporary insanity. Her sentence was placed on hold in 2011 pending a pardon application, however in 2013 it was rejected, The Mirror reports.
In 2018, it's reported María was finally released.
García's story inspired the HBO Max documentary series titled Hell on Earth: The Verónica Case.
According to a viewer who's watched the documentary, María 'wanted to make this doc to get the truth out because people in the village still believe he’s innocent, the mom is insane and the daughter is a w***e'.
"I am so angry at the world," the viewer added.
In the docuseries, Verónica reportedly resolves: "My mom protected me and now that she’s free, i protect her from the media."

I think this just shows how revolting people can be. The man served his time and should have been left alone. Of coarse asking " How is your daughter" does make one wonder what his intent was in asking. Still doesn't make what she did right.

If an insane man strapped to a straight jacket spends the day bashing his head against the wall, does he regain his sanity if a MAP walks in the way and is hit instead? That's sometimes how it feels.
Re: Mom burnt daughter’s rapist alive after he taunted her following prison release
Well... she did burn someone alive. I don't know of many sane people that went ahead and did something like that. If she's willing to burn anyone alive for any reason, surely she's crossed some other lines before reaching that point. That's not behavior you just... manifest.Maria 'wanted to make this doc to get the truth out because people in the village still believe [...] the mom is insane'

Students Charged in ‘To Catch a Predator’ TikTok Scheme
https://web.archive.org/web/20250106020 ... iktok.html
This is what happens when fandom age-gap discourse graduates high-school ffs.Five college students in Massachusetts are accused of luring a man to the Assumption University campus in a plot that the police said was inspired by the television show “To Catch a Predator” and a fad on TikTok.
The students were part of a larger group that chased the man from a campus building after he was invited there by a student on the dating app Tinder, expecting to meet an adult, according to a criminal complaint issued in Worcester District Court on Dec. 4.
[...]
Two students assaulted the man, the police said.
There was no indication that the man was trying to meet underage girls and the woman who invited him to the campus, Kelsy Brainard, 18, said on her Tinder profile that she was 18 years old, the police said. The police did not provide the man’s age.
Videos of the episode, which happened on Oct. 1, were shared among students and seen by the police, who said that minutes after the man arrived on campus, he was watching a baseball game on a couch in a student lounge with Ms. Brainard and there was “ample personal space between them.”
Suddenly, a large group of students appeared from hidden locations, the complaint said. The students berated the man “as a sexual offender,” grabbed him and blocked him from leaving the room, the police said.
