Detectives Arrest Griswold Man for Sexual Assault against Juvenile

On Monday, December 23, 2024, at approximately 7:50 PM, Ashton Young (DOB: 09/21/2004), of Griswold, turned himself into Troop E- Montville on the strength of an active arrest warrant. The warrant for Young's arrest stemmed from a sexual assault investigation reported in August 2024.

Young was arrested in the Troop E lobby and escorted to the arrest processing area where he was charged with the following violation(s):

C.G.S. 53-21 - Risk of Injury to a Minor (2 counts)

C.G.S. 53a-71 - Sexual Assault 2nd Degree (2 counts)

Young was assigned a $100,000 court set bond, which he was able to post. Young is scheduled for arraignment at Rockville Superior Court on 1/6/2025.
