Extremely. To give you an example, maps are to Gen Z as “gays” where to gen x, as commies where to boomers, as black people where to the silent gen. I think in general it's because the younger generation have a higher level anxiety. It comes from a different place from those tabloid editors in the 90s, that were genuine thugs, looking for an excuse to show off how "tough" they are. If I was in the room with a Zoomer who had made a bunch of aggressive statements against MAPs on the internet, they likely wouldn't have the courage to say it IRL. In contrast, I think those thugs at The Sun or Neo-Nazis that harassed NAMBLA members would actually physically fight you given the opportunity.

True. I would describe them as “hyper woke” in general. Facist ideals covered up with performative activism. So “left” they become radically conservative. They absolutely WOULD say it irl. Im not sure what age group your in, but I myself am in the 15-30 age group. Even in real life they are constantly talking about age gaps and pedophillia and grooming. They may not scream it at the top of their lungs like online or be as quick to call a swat on you, but trust me, we cant just write it off as “chronically online behavior”. I think we should again think about the difference in gender though. Guys (of any age) like I was saying are not really convinced by any of these, and really dont mind such relationships. These loud voice tend to just be women (usually older), who influence younger girls. However, even then not every girl agrees, in most of those comment sections you can find girls disagreeing or arguing about it. I think that in reality it is probably 50/50 but the loud voices have taken over. I agree that there is a lot of hysteria these days but there's also many people who point out how stupid it is (especially the 18-17 year old cases, or even people who are 23, 24, 25 dating a 18-19 year old). Also, I can also speak on people I know and most of them, if you talk to them personally outside of those spaces, to ask what they really think, don't mind such age gaps.

It's not so much about being underdeveloped in my opinion, as a lack of understanding. Have you heard of the concept of the banality of evil? That's not my experience, usually violent students just ended up getting removed and ignored. In general, I don't think we've found good solutions to problems concerning anti-social behavior yet.

I don't know, my experience is that each generation feels more malleable than the next. The oldest members of my family have a clear sense of what they believe in, the Zoomers and Millenials, in contrast, just about go along with anything that sounds right. I still wouldn't be surprised if the pedohysteria turns out to be pretty shallowly motivated.
