I'm Gon, nice to meet you

Post by gon »

Hi there! I'm Gon, an Autistic Pedophile and Hebephile who is often tired but always open to make new friends. You might know me from NNIA or as one of the admins on Map Rights Forum. Right now I'm just checking out this place, but I already have the impression it's set up very professionally so good job on that! Hopefully the relation between this forum and MRF can be one of collaboration rather than competition.

Bringing together MAPs, and encouraging them to work on solutions to points of contention, is one of Mu's main goals. I see no reason why we wouldn't complement each other. I believe our Communications Officer already reached out to your team.

If it's a competition the prizes are pretty poor. We have absolutely nothing to gain from infighting. I'm personally tired of it. There will be differences in ideology between people and differences in focus. A pedosadist nepiophile is likely to have a very different experience with their sexuality to a romantic pederast. That difference in experience will lead to different conclusions. But they're still both part of our community and both need to be supported and helped to feel valid.

Right now I feel like the biggest thing MAPs are lacking is visibility- particularly making our own voices heard. The narrative has been about us, but not by us. One of my goals with Mu is to try to change that so that people are hearing from MAPs, not just about them. That's something that groups like VirPed were able to make progress on, but it was still only a very narrow subset of the community, with a presentation that came across as divisive to those that didn't share VirPed's Christian anti-sex foundation. That said, I'm still very grateful for the foundation that was built. Without it we'd still be in the total Dark Ages of the early 00s.
