THE IDEOLOGY OF ATHEISM AND PEDOPHILIA BUILT THE SAME RATIONAL OR SCIENTIFIC GROUNDS

I posted this comment on YouTube yesterday, I see its relevance to the MAP forums therefore, posting it in here with some editing.

The ideology of atheism and pedophilia built on the same rational or scientific grounds. They both believe their stand fundamentally build on the scientific basis. While the atheist doesn’t believe in the religious dogma of existence of which is said to be the source of all truth, justice and good claiming has no scientific or objective evidences to prove it. Likewise, pedophiles, claim there is no basic scientific evidence that the love relation between the young and old is harmful for the young. They both face the same fundamentalist and dogmatic common enemy being irrational.

However, the atheist perhaps immediately distances themselves, vehemently claiming comparison between those to subject totally baseless. I don’t think I can convince them otherwise, however a small attempt from my side to shed some light on this matter. I'm afraid to hear what Richard Dawkins would say about pedophilia because I'd probably lose all respect for him.

I don't know. It still seems like he condemns it, just not as hysterically as a regular person would. Although maybe he is talking about just the narrow case of mild non-consensual touching, so maybe he's open to the idea that it could be consensual too and just didn't address that case.

It's an interesting comparison, there are many things people hold true that are not based on science.

Throw a dog a biscuit and tell him to sit up enough times and he'll instinctively do it and see no distinction between the words, action and biscuit. For pedophilia it's really as simple as that, people have been thrown biscuits and told it's a terrible corruption so many times that it's an ingrained belief based on nothing. Breaking people away from these ingrained beliefs is incredibly difficult, it's no easier than convincing a devout Christian that their religion is anything other than fact.

Religion, in general, is usually sex negative.

In Christianity, there's this concept of concupiscence relating to original sin. Basically, sexual desire is the sign of falleness or imperfection. In Buddhism, desire is the root of suffering. It's based on the idea that worldly desire is a distraction from a higher reality, an afterlife. If this is all there is, what's wrong with pleasure or desire?
