The Guy Obsessed with Trans People in Our University Telegram Group

Guys, I have to talk about this dude in our university’s Telegram group. I won’t name names, but if you’re in the group, you know exactly who I’m talking about. This guy never misses a chance to post rants against trans people—seriously, you could make a bingo card out of his takes: “gender ideology,” “biology,” “woke madness”… the usual stuff.

Now, don’t get me wrong, everyone’s entitled to their opinions, but this is a whole new level of obsession. Every time a vaguely related topic comes up, boom—he’s there with another long-winded rant. The funniest part? He even references this forum! Like it’s some holy grail of truth for his arguments.

But here’s my theory: I think he loves them. Yeah, you heard me. No one spends this much time thinking about a group of people unless there’s some level of fascination. It’s like in school when a kid would constantly tease the same classmate… and then you’d find out he had a crush on her.

What do you guys think? Just another online hater, or is there something more going on?

I wish we could shut up about trans people for once. I am so sick and tired of hearing about transgender people, its the only thing people can talk about nowadays. Even in the outside world its just getting harrassed about liberals and conservatives about transgender this and transgender that. Whats so special about them that we need to bring them up every three seconds?

Theres wars that are going on and people that are dying but the thing that takes up half of public discourse is just trans this and trans that. You cant even escape it in the map community, you cant go a day in a map space online without someone bring up transgendernes, wether from a conservative point of view or a leftist point of view. This is no offense to you im just seriously tired of hearing about them. There are so many discussions we could have about mapness but they get side tracked by talking about transgenders, and not even transgender minors, transgender adults. Tom O Caroll wont stop bringing up trans people on his blog. Every other boy chat post eventually derails into complaining about transgenders or defending transgenders, and even now on map union. Who cares what that guy thinks, I dont think hes a secret anything, hes probably just infected with that same trans brainworm that every other person in the west has been infected with for some reason. Im gonna start taking a shot everytime someone randomly brings up transgenders in a way thats not even remotely relevant to the conversation. Im not pro trans and im not anti trans wither because I literally dont care about the subject and im tired of people ignoring map issues so they can talk about transgenders.



They really do this all the time on Boychat, its very frustrating.

And then they start a whole long thread arguing back and forth on transgenders. Like I thought this was boy-chat not debateabouttransgenderpeople-chat. Is there some secret link between transgenders and maps that I somehow wasnt told about because as far as I know talking about them just derails us from actually important issues.

Sorry that this is complainy and im really not trying to insult you, I just dont see how this relates to mapness in the slightest, why it gets brought up so often, not only in the map community but everywhere, and what we are supposed to offer on the subject. If you dont like him stop being friends with him.

Yes it's very tiresome. They are 1 percent of the population but they are the subject of 50 percent of the debate discourse. People can't wait to virtue signal with their opinions of trans people, no matter the situation. It's caused friction in my friendships. I feel bad for the actual trans people who are having their sexual identity and medical issues turned into a political football when they probably just want to blend in and lay low
