How many of you have been in denial?

I see many people here expressing that they have always been aware of their attraction. Personally, I spent most of my life in denial. This was largely due to being bullied at an early age for being gay, which led me to suppress all thoughts related to sexuality, including this attraction, until I was 22.

I wonder how many others here have also experienced a period of denial before coming to terms with their feelings.

I was sorta in denial around 15-17yo....that was also around the time when I pretended I was straight and a good church-going boy.

For me it was strange, because I had my attraction feelings since I got memory. So I grew knowing I was not attracted to Adults but I was not sure about minors, when I discovered my exact AOA, I was like "I can't believe I am attracted to them", I was surprised but it didn't took me by surprise so denial was not too deep..

That is why I think denial comes when you suddenly discover something one for many years had not a single thought about.

I was growing up, but then as I got older it started to get obvious I had no real attraction to anyone my age or older.

I have never been in denial or ever wondered why I feel this way for YOUNG BOYS. We are born certain way. We are born with A certain sexual orientation I believe. I was born A Pedophile I guess I can just handle it better then some. It doesn't run my life.

Denial since I was an* early teenager, I was still a child in most peoples eyes. I won't give specifics of how long it's been since then, but it's been a while. However, I have accepted my attractions as part of me in recent months and no longer deny them.

A lot of antis don't like to consider the fact us MAPs often realize our attractions when we ourselves are still minors.

It wasn't until I fell completely in love with a teenage girl that I started confronting this truth about myself

I had something similar going on, except I was looking at loli art (although nonexplicit) telling myself it doesn't mean anything and refusing to think about it for too long. During a heavy drinking period in my late teens/early twenties, I'd also consume more explicit content sometimes, but I hardly remember because I was blackout drunk all the time.
