Having sex with an underage minor gives MAPs a bad name. Obey the law, no matter how you feel about it. We need to stop creating victims and acting surprised when the world turns against us.Someone wrote: Fri Feb 14, 2025 6:06 amThis type of behavor, threatening a choild, give all MAPs a bad name

I disagree, I think people still hate MAPs even if they don't break the law, so I wouldn't blame the perception on MAPs that do. The nature of the crime also matters, blackmail and violence feed into the perception of MAPs as psychopaths, however, those of us who are pro-contact ultimately need to challenge the view that non-coercive sexual acts between a minor and an adult are bad.Concerned Coffee Mug wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 11:48 pm Having sex with an underage minor gives MAPs a bad name. From a pro-contact perspective, it's a bit like saying gay sex is the reason why the world hates gay people. If you want acceptance, you can't always have the best optics, because the very thing you want accepted may be the very thing that people are offended by.
You should obey the law for your own well-being, not because breaking the law is bad optics; the issue is that those who do break the law are usually harming themselves. I'm not going to morally condemn a person for breaking a law I don't believe in, even if I advise against it.
Taking a break.
