A leading member of Bikers Against Child Abuse — a non-profit organization that aims to prevent further harm against children who’ve been sexually, physically and emotionally abused — was arrested on child pornography charges in New York, state police say. John C. Todaro, the vice president of the non-profit advocacy group’s chapter in Buffalo, New York, was found with child pornography, according to an April 9 news release issued by state police. He’s also been sharing child pornography, authorities say.

I sometimes wonder if it's a toxic masculinity/in-group favoritism type of deal. Like they don't think of themselves as predators, but they do think of "grooming gangs" and lone sex offenders as legitimate targets. It's more a matter of possessiveness, the minor is the property of the in-group (so they may have sex with minors) while a person from the out-group is violating their territory.

It's a clear case of laundering and reaction formation; biker groups often display a criminal tendency and need to convince normies they are really just "kind hearted".

It's possible some of them thought they were just holding on to evidence, or stole drives and devices from people they "busted". And thought just because their intentions were "valorous", it would make them immune to the law. And yet still no one questions how absurd the law itself is.
