I notice there are as many pedophiles in this community as there are hebephiles.

This demonstrates that many hebephiles don't feel the need to take part in sexually deviant communities.

I don't have any hard data to back this up, but I'd surmise that the main reason for that is that hebephiles are more likely to be non-exclusive, i.e. they can be attracted to some adults with high neoteny.

Being preferentially hebephilic myself, I'm over 99% attracted to minors and under 1% attracted to adults... but there are indeed a few adults I find attractive, as some 20-year-old girls can have the phenotype and key psychoemotional features of 14-year-olds.

However, I can imagine that if those percentages were, say, 90% and 10% respectively, I might well not be here.

Perhaps even more specifically, their non-exclusivity is normative-adjacent, so they can get along. A lot of them probably count themselves among the mainstream - in my experience the gay dating community includes a lot of "twinks only" and "trans only" I suspect to be hebephiles. I'm sure the straight equivalent exists, and may in fact be even more normalised from what I see on Instagram.

I'm not surprised bisexuality is high among MAPs. Children are very androgynous.

Instead of the rather simplistic question "Which gender do you prefer, or both?", in the spirit of the Big Five personality test thread—because I'm somewhat obsessed by the quantification of the human psyche—I thought it could be interesting for members of this forum to take the Kinsey Scale test and share their score here (as Fragment pointed out, the wording is sadly teleionormative, so mentally replace "men" and "women" by "males" and "females").

My AoA is pretty exclusive. I have minimal interest in prepubescents and once a boy has facial hair that requires shaving, or coarse leg hair, I’m out.

I voted girls because it is primarily girls but there is part of me that can be attracted to boys or rather the recollection of my feelings as a young boy towards adults. I remember how horny I was as a young boy and I had an adult lover for a while and honestly for much of my childhood if an adult had offered me a sexual relationship I'd have jumped at it, I spent so much time frustrated and masturbating thinking of other people. Knowing I was like that makes me think there must be boys like that today and that does trigger a reaction of desire and attraction. But then when it comes down to it, actual attraction today is really for young girls.

I can be in a room with 9 boys and 1 girl, all in my perfect AoA and it'll be the girl who'll be making me go red and getting 90% of my attention
