Explain your avatar
My new one is probably pretty obvious, but if everyone is gonna keep on calling me a "predator", I might as well lean into it.
If only some people can have it, that's not happiness. That's just nonsense. Happiness is something anyone can have.

Re: Explain your avatar
My avatar comes from my name, so it's kind of self-explanatory, although there is a little more context you guys might find interesting.
First, the colors of the bird aren't a modification of the image; by a bizarre coincidence there was already a porcelain lark that had the MAP colors. I also flip the image based on whether the site has the profile on the right or left side, so that it's facing the writing. There's also more than one photo of it, one that's in profile and one angled slightly towards the viewer.
Secondly, where the name came from. The names "WandersGlade" and "PorcelainLark", both came from looking at anagrams that combined the names "Lewis Carroll", "Edgar Allan Poe", and "John Ruskin." I picked out names based on which words I liked the sound of best in those anagram lists. I had this vague/half-baked idea that using anagrams might make my names have assonance and consonance with other MAP names. The choice of WandersGlade was also somewhat inspired by Native American names I vaguely remembered (like Crazy Horse).
My first avatar in the MAP community was a creative commons photo of a lark sitting on some grass. Then I had the image of a glade, which I wanted to look more lawn-like; with the image itself, it was difficult to pick where the focal point should be because it was a scene without a figure. I briefly had a character from a German visual novel, on the MAPrightsforum because his facial expression really amused me. Then there was the April fools profile; initially I was going to go for a kind of MLG style meme (Trump with Mountain Dew, Doritos, and sunglasses because I thought it's funny to combine that pretense at being smooth/cool/clever with Trump), however I had to settle on a version of "you've activated my trap card" when I found it because it's one of my favorite memes!

Re: Explain your avatar
My avatar is from a series of images I created for a logo competition on Boylandonline. I wanted to create a mix between the BL logo and a nice landscape. Generative AI helped in rendering this as a kind of illusion, where from afar (or if you squint) you see the perfect geometry of the BL logo, while up close the geometry disperses into the landscape.
If you happen to be on Boylandonline, you can head to the AI gallery and check out my sub-galleries, where I posted many logo variations (the "Squint!" gallery) and other more pleasant images.

When society judges without understanding, it silences hearts that yearn for connection.

Also, I saw your other post in community.. I wish I would saw it sooner. But I just want to say I understand what you're feeling. I think we all have those moments sometimes.
I know this might sound crazy to some.. but I urge you to turn to God. The God that gave His son Jesus to die on the cross for us.
Matter of fact, today is good Friday, where we recognize it to be the day Jesus was crucified for our sins. He already paid the ultimate price for us. So, that we can be forgiven. No human is perfect and we all fall short of the glory of God.
For whatever reason, we have been given this cross to bare. And I strongly urge you to give it to God. For one thing.. He will listen without judgement. And for maps, often God is the only one we can be honest with.
Miracles really can happen.. and God can give us hope in an otherwise hopeless situation. He can make a way where it seems there is none.
Humor me.. try praying. Like actually getting on your knees in some quiet time and pray to Him. Out loud if you can, but whispers is ok too. Just truly take a minute and start with.. "God, idk if you're real.. but if you are..."
.. then just take it from there.
I promise He will give you the hope and a sign to keep going.
And He may even allow blessings in your life you could have never imagined.
Please just know you're not alone. There is millions of us out there that are not the monsters they make us out to be.
We are good, kind and loving human beings.
The devil wants to rob, kill and destroy us. And he uses wicked ppl in this world to try and humiliate us and defile our joy. His ultimate victory is us taking our own life. Don't let him win.
Stay strong brother.. and please keep me updated.. I'll be praying for you
