Dear Members,
I’m writing this small note with a mix of feelings. As some of you know, I recently shared my open-source paper titled “Pedophilia Criminal Offence Built on Morally Bankrupt Western Pseudosciences”, which was posted with no copyright restrictions and full freedom for anyone to use, improve, and even publish without attribution.
I am genuinely happy to see that the ideas presented in the paper are being taken forward, even inspiring follow-up articles generated with AI. I firmly believe that spreading these arguments, rooted in scientific reasoning and critical thought, will ultimately help countless individuals who have been unjustly labeled, prosecuted, and convicted under laws shaped more by stigma than by evidence.
That said, I must admit I felt a little disappointed that the connection to my original paper wasn’t acknowledged—especially when the influence was so clearly visible. A small mention of the source of inspiration would have been a kind gesture of intellectual courtesy. Though attribution was never required, such acknowledgment strengthens our mutual respect as contributors to this difficult but important discussion.
Nonetheless, I am encouraged that this dialogue is expanding. Let us continue working toward a more honest, humane, and evidence-based understanding of these complex social issues.
Warm regards,
Valerian Texeira
