I believe all this prejudice against MAPs and fear of childhood sexuality ultimately stems from lack of knowledge about the subject. At least as far as the average Joe is concerned. Thus, I feel it would be helpful to have more educational material made for those willing to learn. To hear our side of the narrative. Alas, I think one problem we keep running into is assuming the average person will read anything longer than a Twitter post. But people are usually more receptive to videos.
And so I've made a video essay: The 5 Greatest Misconceptions about Childhood Sexuality.
The idea is to keep the content short, simple, and with visual aids. This will hopefully serve as a gateway to get people discussing things from a different perspective. It's a 5 part video series. The rest of the parts are linked in the description. I made a thread about this previously, but now I'm making it slightly more public now that I got the visuals completed.
I also made this other video on Statutory Rape.
If this goes well, I plan to make more on many other subjects, and hopefully one day post videos on someplace more public than Free Speech Tube. Where else is left? Iunno. But holding onto hope. Feedback would appreciated.

Kudos RoosterDance! I like the format and the approach! The graphics could be more polished, but it works very well in communicating the concepts.
I hope you can spread them successfully on more platforms, or FST gets more traffic, or both.

Re: Video Essay: the 5 Greatest Misconceptions about Childhood Sexuality
I watched all five videos and they're very well done.
They come across as not pushing some map agenda, in fact it barely mentions adults and correctly focusses on young people. They're factual, invite people to carry out there own investigations and are focused on child wellbeing. At the same time they challenge misconceptions and stur things up without being too provocative. I like the way that it links into issues I've encountered a lot from other parents, like why do their kids masturbate or watch porn and few parents trust their daughters around boys because deep down they know that girls and boys are sexual, they just don't like to confront it.
Each video is short enough to watch and overall I love the tone. Graphics I don't care about, links and guidance for where to go and learn more is more important. As a parent I've gone onto parenting forums and it used to shock me how many parents had questions about sex, the most popular being questions from panicing parents about their preteen kids masturbating only to be told by all the other parents "yer, don't worry about it, they all do it". I think these videos are approachable enough that if I encountered such questions again I would just post a link to these videos and say "go there and learn, they're harmless short educational videos that explain a lot". It would be nice to see them on YouTube some day, I don't know how they would perform there since they aren't that controversial to me, but then I'm not the type that would take offence.

Thanks for the feedback, guys.
My next video will be about pedophiles specifically. I've got a wide variety of topics I want to make videos on and have many scripts already written out.Outis wrote: Mon Apr 28, 2025 10:30 am They come across as not pushing some map agenda, in fact it barely mentions adults and correctly focusses on young people.
And hey, FairBlueLove. I saw your thread about wanting to make graphics. Would you be at all interested in helping me make graphics for these videos? I feel like I could churn these out a lot faster with someone to help in that regard. However, what I'm asking for will be a lot of work, so I understand if it's not something you'd be willing or able to commit to. Ideally, one day, I'd like my videos to look similar to those of the Extra History YouTube channel, But that's a pipe dream. Gonna take things one step at a time.

Regarding the graphics, I would be happy to help. But your graphics and animations are genius! with "polishing" I'm referring to jagged borders and this kind of stuff.
P.S.: Since I watched your videos, the only thought of a red chili pepper elicits in me romantic feelings

Great! Thank you! I think this will be a great partnership.
Uh... but forgive me, I got a bit ahead of myself. I got some prep to do on the next video before we can begin. I'll let you know when I'm ready.
Also... for some reason, my email to you got returned to sender. Not sure how to fix that.

OK, this is odd, as I'm regularly receiving emails from external providers. Maybe yours is a bit too picky towards Tor based providers. Sending you another PM...RoosterDance wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 11:45 pm for some reason, my email to you got returned to sender. Not sure how to fix that.
