Things that inspire you

Post by HumanBeing »

In my case I am especially inspired by epic wartime songs from many countries and historical contexts (despite I don't share most of the ideologies from the songs)

As an example today I have discovered a 1945 German movie called "Kolberg" that despite of those who produced the film and the historical parallelism they were trying to convey I think its a good historical film and personally some of the quotes from the movie are very inspiring for me to continue fighting the Antis.

About the film: The film recounts the defence of the fortress town of Kolberg against French invasion in 1807 (during the Napoleonic Wars) The film emphasizes the strong will of the Kolberg residents to fight until death against the invasor army even when initially the German imperial government refused to help them.

Here I will leave you some quotes from the movie that have personally inspired me:

Scene: Nettebleck's speech to Maria:

"Maria, you have given everything you had but it was not in vain. Victory conquers death. It is the most important thing. We are reborn from our pain. He who suffers so much sorrow is noble and worthy. You are noble, Maria. You stood firm and did your duty without fear of death This is also your victory, Maria. It is your victory."

Scene: Nettebleck's during a discussion with a military commander:

"we (Kolberg people) rather be buried under the rubble of our town than surrender"

I'm inspired by the stories I read in map forums about the trials and tribulations faced by maps in every day life.

Also poetry, books, music and movies about different groups throughout history who have been persecuted by societies at one time or another. It always exists and the same stories resonate.
Keep every stone they throw at you. You've got castles to build.

I can relate to that too, I personally love reading about USA/Western Europe MAP movement during the 1960s until the 1990s its pretty inspiring and also we can learn a lot from the past activists
