The drummer for The New Pornographers seems to be living up to the name of his rock band ... he's been arrested for allegedly possessing child porn.

Joseph Seiders was taken into custody last week and booked into jail in Riverside County, California for alleged possession of child pornography, annoying/molesting a child, invasion of privacy, and attempted invasion of privacy. Seiders posed for a frowning mugshot with gray stubble on his face.

According to officials ... On April 7, an 11-year-old boy told sheriff's deputies responding to a report of suspicious activity that a man had used his cell phone to record him using the bathroom at a business in Palm Desert, California.

Two days later, the sheriff's department says, an employee at the same business reported a man was entering and exiting the restroom with underage boys. The Desert Sun newspaper reports the location is a Chick-fil-A restaurant.

Suspicious, the worker called the Riverside County Sheriff's Office and deputies quickly responded, arresting Seiders before executing search warrants on his home, vehicle and cell phone.
Deputies allegedly recovered evidence that implicates Seiders in alleged crimes.

The New Pornographers released a statement ... “Everyone in the band is absolutely shocked, horrified and devastated by the news of the charges against Joe Seiders — and we have immediately severed all ties with him. Our hearts go out to everyone who has been impacted by his actions.”

We've reached out to Seiders ... so far, no word back.

Accused child porn distributor former state Rep. RJ May has sharply criticized a federal law enforcement officer and described as fatally deficient a search warrant that led to the seizure of digital devices at his house last year. May wrote in his court filing that Homeland Security Investigations agent Britton Lorenzen had a “reckless disregard for the truth” and misled a federal magistrate judge when she got a search warrant approved last summer to search his cell phones, laptops and other digital devices at his house in West Columbia. May’s allegations were made Wednesday in a 32-page handwritten motion to suppress government evidence against him in his upcoming federal trial on 10 counts of distributing child sexual abuse material on the internet under the pseudonym of “joebidennnn69.” He could be sentenced to 20 years in prison on each count.

FaZe Clan has removed co-founder Thomas “Temperrr” Oliveira from the organization after serious allegations of inappropriate conduct with minors surfaced publicly.

The controversy began during a livestream on September 14 when fellow co-founder Nordan “Rain” Shat claimed that Temperrr had admitted to sexual encounters with two 16-year-olds.

Rain later clarified that one of the individuals was 17 and that another person was present but did not participate.

Rila Ogawa, lead singer and guitarist of screamo group Febuary, accused frontman of Kind Of Like Spitting, Ben Barnett, of grooming and sexual manipulation, as reported by Lambgoat.

Ogawa posted about her alleged experiences with Barnett in an Instagram story, accompanied by a 23-page Google Doc that linked to a timeline of their interactions.

“I’ve been scared to post this for a very long time, and sharing my story wasn’t even an option until recent thought,” the singer wrote. “It has been eating me up for months now, even making life harder to live. Seeing Ben [Barnett] have support from so many impressionable people, especially young women, not knowing his true nature. I will not be silent any longer.”

Something I found years later about Robert Hughes, an elderly actor who was locked up for almost a decade in Australia and deported to the UK to live with his wife.

They tracked him down to Southampton, in the UK after supposedly running surveillance on his wife. He was trying to live anonymously, and they did the tough guy act, trying to talk to him on the street. He rightly ghosted them.

Wikipedia, and the below blog details his treatment in an Aussie high security jail, where he was pelted with human waste.
