Introduction and seeking help

I am a 27-year-old man, and a few months ago, I started experiencing a strange sensation every time I am near a child, without any specific age or gender involved. It's as if I go into a state of panic. I don't know what it is, and I'm afraid that this feeling might be an attempt to suppress what could be an actual sexual attraction.

Never in my life had I doubted this or even suspected that I could be a MAP (a term I recently discovered). From everything I've seen on the internet, this condition does not suddenly develop in adulthood but rather emerges during puberty or earlier. Still, I am very worried that it might be real and that I could be a danger to others.

I am asking for your help because you are the ones who can best understand how this feels, and I need a reference point. Thank you in advance for your attention.

First off don't panic as panicking could lead to harming yourself or others. You're in a safespace regardless. What I suggest is taking a good look inside yourself....if you are a MAP you have friends here you can talk to...As for the panic around minors I'm not qualified enough to give an answer, but there are people here who are....I hope this was able to help you a little bit .

Please don't panic. Perhaps you consume too much of those MSM anti-pedo propaganda and narratives. IMO, for an healthy man with average testosterones levels, it is common to be sexually attracted specially to the opposite sex people of all ages, more or less depending on their situation. But one should not act upon their sexual urges when it is against the law.

Whether or not these feelings are part of a sexuality, or just intrusive thoughts with other causes, neither makes you a danger to others. Only your choices and then actions can make you a danger to others. You have agency. If you are prone to impulsiveness in other areas, that could be a risk factor. If you hear the voice of God talking to you, that could be a really big risk factor. But you still have agency and can find solutions.

What is going through your mind when you experience this panic? Have you ever have sexual thoughts or fantasies involving children? Is the panic of a sexual nature at all?

I'm skeptical of people claiming POCD when they do have feelings that could be described as an attraction. Feelings that they enjoy (even if they think it's wrong). What are your dreams and wishes in relation to sex and sexuality?

I dream about being with a 13 year old YF (young friend) in an asymmetric but loving relationship that lasts until he decides he wants a girlfriend and I get relegated (hopefully) to "good friend and former mentor".

I dont have any dream or fantasy, my feelings or sensations i would say are quite the opposite as attraction, IS more like i fear the presence of kids, the only time i had a dream involving kids happened at the beggining of this, i dreamt about a group of kids that thrown me Stones and were telling me insultas. I have to say that i dont have any urges to fap or to do something related once in home.

I dont want to act even if its true not only for legal reasons, i do think that its inmoral and i always thought that.
