I personally think it really would influence a lot.
People being exposed to misconceptions only helps in building up hysteria.
If people were more exposed to positive talking about MAPs it could drastically help in the way we are seen.
But which could be safe ways to do it? Since doing it personally and straight forward may pose a risk at the beginning.
May possitive MAP talking help lower misconception?

Absolutely. It would be essential to move forward. Misconceptions are largely responsible for our bad reputation, but truth is on our side, and we should leverage that.
I have sacrificed my own safety — and continue to do so — for this cause by starting honest, open conversation without anonymity. This approach has proven highly effective. Being genuine and vulnerable is the best way to reach people, though it does come at a cost. At this time, I do not advise others, particularly those in the US, to follow my lead. Engaging in genuine conversations with people anonymously would also be beneficial, provided one leaves a positive impression.
From my experience, it is crucial to gain the support of other communities that already enjoy a degree of acceptance in society. Building sustainable diplomatic relationships through MAPs who intersect with other communities would be a strategically valuable move. Once a critical mass of support is garnered in this way, it would automatically continue to lift this community higher. Non-MAPs would be educating other non-MAPs on the importance of supporting us and how these old misconceptions are incorrect and offensive.
This is already happening to some extent; I have witnessed this both as a result of my own efforts and in unrelated cases. By adopting this approach, we could achieve social acceptance comparable to that of other marginalised communities within just a few years.
