Is DDLG/LB borderline pedophilia?

I've always thought it was, I don't really see any other way to explain it.
There's all these people legally role playing scenarios that are very pedophilic in nature and that's all fine, but somehow if I say I'm atrracted to a lg then that's a problem? Or it's OK to role play age play and incest roles that are very pedophilic, but an AI picture is a terrible crime. Honestly I don't see the logic in it.

"All fine" isn't exactly how I'd describe the current state of affairs. I was banned from an online BDSM community and "reported to the authorities" (never went anywhere luckily) for engaging in consensual age play with adults. I had never mentioned that I was a MAP nor said anything whatsoever about real little girls.

So yeah, there are quite a few people that do make the connection with pedophilia.

I stand corrected. I don't do it myself but I've seen plenty of DDLG/LB groups on various sites not aimes at maps that seem popular and don't get taken down so I assumed it was generally accepted, but I guess not.

I know there are a good number of people who hate adult pornography that depicts the adults as very young teenagers/dressed child-like/etc. They're still adults and legal, but people hate that it is legal because it's "disgusting" to role-play as a child. I recall watching a documentary on it, or at least a part of one that touched on the subject and the entire discourse was how it was "morally wrong" to have it freely available and so heavily searched for. Wouldn't be surprised if I found it again, re-watched it, and it somehow implying that it's a "pipeline" to actual PIM.

In my opinion, I see no issue with it. There definitely are tones of pedophilia/MAP-ness in it, but it's just another aspect of sexuality adults are freely allowed to explore with each other. Why do people care so much about what someone does in the bedroom? Pedophile or not, they're adults and are free to do whatever they want with consent. If it lets a MAP safely explore their sexuality with a consenting adult, what's the problem? Is it the idea that MAPs may find happiness in it that makes people incredibly angry?

I'm sure that part of it is the notion that "pedophiles" can't possibly be ethical human beings, but the main reason is the fear that it might "incite" people to commit those acts in reality. That was explicitly the rationale for Australia banning all pornography where a participant "appears" to be under 18.

It's the same basic reason why pornography depicting rape is illegal in many countries such as the UK or Germany. See also the RapeLay controversy (*cough*the part of the game with 12-year-old Manaka was great*cough*). It's so absurd... there is no scientific evidence for such "incitement", and anecdotally, I've engaged in plenty of age play and rape role-play (and age play + play rape) with consenting adult partners, some hardcore enough—with a sufficiently compatible partner—that it very much looked like the real thing, and I'd never actually commit sexual assault. I have a strict moral code and am quite reserved and very respectful with strangers and friends alike.

It's the notion that in order to be a "pedophile", you have to have offended in some way, which is false. I am glad the MAP movement exists to try and make a split between the common notion that anyone with pedophilia is an offender by default (and/or is destined to offend). That and not all MAPs are pedophiles.

There is a woman who is stuck in the body of an 8 year old girl, (Shauna Rae) she is in her 20s I believe now and is trying to find a relationship. She may have found one, I am unsure. The unfortunate part is most people accuse whoever she is dating as being a pedophile because of her body. Is she not allowed to have a relationship because of something out of her control? Some are so stubborn. Some may say she's entitled to having one since she is an adult, and I'd agree, but others say she attracts the wrong crowd. How is that her fault? Who are you to say she can't be satisfied romantically/sexually?

Wow, what a fascinating case. Shauna is actually quite cute; judging from looks alone, I'd gladly date her (although she tries too hard to dress like a "woman" for my tastes and I don't know much about her personality). She apparently was briefly in a relationship and the poor guy suffered heaps of abuse and told newspapers they "hadn't consummated" the relationship.
Edit: She found a new boyfriend, whose identity has remained secret, and they apparently finally had sex. She recently changed her name because, in her own words, she "attracted creeps". It's unfortunate that she probably had to find a partner who loved her despite her looks rather than (in part) because of them. Because "fetishizing" her is wrong.

Again, we come back to the fallacious and damaging idea that "pedophiles" are bad people.
