The self proclaimed “child haters” who make it their entire personality to hate kids for whatever reason. They laugh and post mean comments on videos of kids getting severely injured. Whenever someone brings up pedophiles they go “couldnt be me, I HATE those crotch goblins” to virtue signal. They create entire subreddits dedicated to hating on “runny nosed crotch goblins” and talk about how the world would be better off without kids and that fucking animals deserve more respect than young human beings. Those people get on my nerve, not only are they ageist bigots, but they are also clearly just virtue signaling so they dont seem like pedophiles. Every anti tries to one up each other on how far they are from pedophillia and the farthest you can get from loving kids is hating them so they latch on to that to seem “morally superior” some how.
Which begs the question, if they view pedophiles as harmful to kids/bad for kids, and they hate kids and find it funny when they get hurt, then how come they arent pro pedophile? They should enjoy seeing us “hurt” “crotch goblins”. As a matter of fact, why do the general anti public call us “child lovers/kiddie likers” when we supposedly hurt and want to hurt children. Shouldnt we be called child haters/kiddie dislikers or sadists instead since we apparently want to hurt children, at least to antis? And if we are supposedly child haters, what makes us special compared to other types of child abusers and sadists and child haters that we get special recognition. Sadists hurt and want to hurt kids too? Child beaters and manipulators also abuse kids, so why is sexual “abuse” and pedophiles the only “harm” towards kids that antis care about, and how come we are the only type of “abusers” that antis say love our “victims”? Antis make no sense

It is more socially acceptable to hate children than it is to talk of them in a positive light.
Additionally, "pedophiles" are one of the few groups that is completely socially acceptable to both threaten them with harm and wish the worst upon them. On another site, someone admitted to having an attraction to children elsewhere and in the end, they were the one banned from the site. The people who threatened to kill them and harass them were not.
And we're the evil ones, apparently.

We live in a society where simply finding someone attractive is worse than murder threats. And the antis try to claim were not an oppressed minority lolAspire6 wrote: Mon May 26, 2025 2:38 am Evidence of this can also be seen in popular subreddits.

Re: Does anyone else hate “child haters”
In my opinion, a significant cause of people's hatred for pedophiles is rooted at least partially in the way children are dehumanized. There aren't a lot of people that actually like children as people. You've got the examples where hating children is more commonly acceptable; however even most people that don't hate them simply tolerate them. Even those who "like" kids in a more normal way — such as parents of their own kids, teachers, etc — like them as they would commodities.Aspire6 wrote: Mon May 26, 2025 2:38 am It is more socially acceptable to hate children than it is to talk of them in a positive light.

When you say you're actually capable of liking children as people, or god forbid claim to be able to love them and desire them, it's breaking so many constructs around the lack of humanity that society gives to kids that the only fathomable response most people have is to reject it completely and without question.
Re: Does anyone else hate “child haters”
This is a great way to put it, thank you. Society barely tolerates children as-is, so yeah anything more positive than tolerating them or treating them as lesser-beings when you're not somehow closely related/in a position of care is disgusting to them. God forbid we treat our "most vulnerable" with respect in the first place.Bookshelf wrote: Mon May 26, 2025 3:18 pm When you say you're actually capable of liking children as people, or god forbid claim to be able to love them and desire them, it's breaking so many constructs around the lack of humanity that society gives to kids that the only fathomable response most people have is to reject it completely and without question.

That makes me so sad. Children are such wonderful people with amazing and fun personalities. They should be as respected as any adultBookshelf wrote: Mon May 26, 2025 3:18 pmIn my opinion, a significant cause of people's hatred for pedophiles is rooted at least partially in the way children are dehumanized. Re: Does anyone else hate “child haters”
Sometimes I feel like my attraction to boys is more and more exclusive, because I have loads of trust issues. Seeing how especially my country thinks children are disposable due to at least one of numerous factors, no wonder I can't see myself attracted to nor can I trust so many adults. Too many of those grown-ups just not liking children genuinely, and that they just hate kids deep down just deeply offends me.Aspire6 wrote: Mon May 26, 2025 4:40 pmThis is a great way to put it, thank you. Re: Does anyone else hate “child haters”
Another two factors are the way people use children as a justification to suppress things you enjoy (e.g. you can't use porn, because children might come across it) and the general tokophobia that many anti-natalist types of women often experience.
In the former, obviously most MAPs have an easier time because we don't necessarily think hiding things because they're "inappropriate for children" is acceptable. If you accept that, it's easy to end up resenting children as spoiling your fun.
In the latter, a significant amount of women don't want to have children and don't like people asking them about when they're going to have kids. There's more pressure because women have less time to decide than men. Obviously if someone is going to pester you about something, you end up resenting that thing. It's kind of like the masculine aversion to raising someone else's kids; motherhood is seen to them as diminishing their self-efficacy and identity. You often see women complaining about doctors unwilling to perform hysterectomies. In contrast, a lot of men have a strong aversion to getting a vasectomy.
In general, it's easier to live as an individual than raise a family, so I'd see it in the broader context of the atomization of society.
