I Wish I Was a Map During The Golden Era

I'm in my 20's so my world has always been stranger danger when it comes to maps. Over the past 5 years, the world has been turning upside down when it comes to maps. If a YouTuber in his 20s is exposed for texting a 17-year-old he'll lose everything. I envy the older generation for being able to explore that side of yourself so freely and just say what you want. The media was so accepting of artistic freedom. You had movies like Kids, American Beauty, Pretty Baby, Lolita, Leon: The Professiona, Thridteen, Little Darlings, The Lover, Taxi Driver, Blame It on Rio, and Blue Lagoon. Magazines like Vogue, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar frequently featured underage models in adult-styled clothing and poses, sometimes without acknowledging their ages. Sally Mann's "Immediate Family" which were these photography books with almost naked kids. Hustler magazine’s Chester the Molester comic strip, which depicted a perverted old man who tricked little girls into having sex with him. Brooke Shields Calvin Klein Ad as well as her Playboy photoshoot when she was 10 years old. Abercrombie & Fitch Catalogs in the 1990s Frequently used teenage or even preteen models in overtly sexual contexts, often nude or semi-nude. National Lampoon’s Animal House Includes a subplot involving a college student discovering that the girl he slept with is underage, played for laughs rather than concern. Songs like “Into the Night” by Benny Mardones and “Christine Sixteen” by KISS. You had hundreds of songs back then about dating underage girls. It was everywhere back then man. Today you could die over making art like that. I'm a writer and I would love to just explore this side of myself without fear of mob coming to my door. There's no artistic expression for maps. Even if it's just a comic book or a fucking cartoon. I envy the older map's for what they had.

The story of NAMBLA interests me as well. It's crazy to think that at one point in history, you could be open about it. Go to conferences and parades. Hold protests at prisons. There's a documentary on YouTube. It's called Chickenhawk. Nambla allowed this documentary crew to interview a bunch of their members and videotape their operations. There's this one scene where NAMBLA has their own sign at a gay pride parade and so as this parade is taking place the NAMBLA members pass the White House. like it's insane that you used to be able to just do that. it was so tolerated back then too. There's this one scene where a teacher is exposed for being a member of NAMBLA so they go to the school to ask people's opinions and most of the people stand up for him. imagine that happening today. Anyone who doesn't join the mob would be stomped to death.

Im under 21, and God I wish I was born in the 40s or 50s, did you know that PIM used to be legal? Then they considered PIM “obscene”, then they made it fully illegal. In Japan making PIM used used be legal, then only owning PIM was legal, then they fully banned all PIM in 2014. It sucks, I hate being a young MAP. All I have to look forward to as a MAP is genocide. If I have kids or grandkids they might get to reap the rewards that us modern day MAPs fought for, but our generation? No, we’ll get nothing unless we somehow live long enough to see the future. I had a friend whos grandparents where 12 and 20 when they got together, that would NEVER in a MILLION YEARS happen now. Lucky ass grandparents. Not to mention the sexual revolution of the 60s and 70s, where everyone was pro love and pro sex. I actually kind of resent older MAPs because they tens to brag about their yfs and how lenient the law was back in their day. As a young MAP in in 2025, I cant even THINK to have a yf, I might even get in trouble for simply complementing a minor, let alone have a whole ass relationship with them, even if non sexual
