A MAP Hacker Group?

Post by Brain O'Conner »

Has anyone ever thought about forming a MAP hacker group that catches real predators or other criminals such as scammers? As well as taking down so-called child protectors and rights activist groups that are not actually for youth rights but are for more restrictions in the name of protection that will stunt their maturity? Just an idea that I had in mind. I'm currently studying how to program and already have an above average knowledge of networking and computers (I already have my IT certification and planning on getting the network one). If anyone is interested or not, I would like to know your insight. Just to have a fun little discussion about how such a group would theoretically work out. This could have positive effects on MAP's to the public.

I have considered it and have gone as far in the past of infiltrating some groups. That entailed finding where they hang out, creating fake profiles to follow and support them, identify the people and develop maps of connections, who is talking to who and creating profiles for each.

X is a hardline anti, lives in Y, works as Z. He has this set of skills and his role is to do A, B C.
Y is a cyber guy, likes to collect information on people which he shares with this group of people for this purpose.

After a little while I questionned what would I use that information for. Would I attack them in some way? Warn people about their actions? Try to break them apart? Try to understand their views and activities?

It's time consuming and information becomes stale quickly since a lot of people come and go as antis, and so I decided I wasn't sure if it was a good use of my time. The good thing with anti groups is they're very open and noisy and don't feel threatened and they love positive attention so it's easy to infiltrate them. But I'm not someone looking to dox anyone or go to war with anyone, in my case it was curiosity and it turned out they were mostly just loud mouthed biggots who love to hear their own voices, not people to waste time over.

But if others have the skills and interest to really infiltrade them and look for ways to turn them away then I'd have no objection to those people. I'd just say tread carefully and don't get yourself in trouble, most of them are not worth it.

Sounds like you don't speak in words, are you a evolved MAP, who is the master of perception? More likely another human...lol, nice try taking the high road though, very nice when humans outspeak themselves, and flatter their centre of the universe

I don't understand what you mean sorry. Words are constructed by letters to form sounds that are used to convey meaning of the world. I used letters in this approach, forming words and sentences to convey meaning. In the physical world I do speak words to convey meaning in the same way.

And I haven't taken any high road or express myself to be the centre of the universe. Indeed, the universe has no centre but is an expanding universe that if observed from any point would be expanding outwards at an equal rate, making every point the centre and no point the centre.

All I did was express my own experience while warning people to take care if they decide to take a journey of this nature, and where I stopped short of doing anything unethical. To me, it is ethical to observe the actions or people on the public Internet when those actions are designed to harm others. But I chose to walk away at that point because to act on those observations would carry risk and mean I was doing the same things I consider to be unethical. If I observe someone threatening to stab someone, and I then stab them, how am I any different to them? I consider anti groups to be highly unethical and so for me, I chose a different path. If someone has a different philosophy such as an eye for an eye then I have no right to tell them their path is wrong and my path is right, all I can do is tell them to take care when walking that path, don't lose yourself to the same hate you're setting out to fight.
