Johns Island man arrested for cp, and yet the media titles it as sexual exploitation despite him not touching any child

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Johns Island man accused of possessing sexually explicit files involving children and distributing one such file.

Marvin Humbert, 70, is charged with one count of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and four counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, according to jail records.

Investigators executed a search warrant at his Maybank Highway home on Thursday after an investigator received a cyber tip a user, whom they later identified as Humbert, uploaded a sexually explicit image of a female child between the ages of 8 and 10 to a server.
During the search warrant, investigators found “numerous files” that contained images of a child engaging in sexual activity or appearing in a state of sexually explicit nudity.

Homeland Security Investigations and the Charleston, North Charleston and Mount Pleasant Police Departments assisted in the investigation.

They literally only can catch the low hanging fruit, they're all jokes who love playing up the fake victimization narrative. Old dude who doesn't understand tech uploading a file detected automatically through (not a hash) "hash" detection. I can't imagine how many hours they poured into that case... ohh... right, barely any at all.

They always make it sound super impressive that they "catch a pedophile" when it's just a dude being dumb with tech on personal accounts and not taking any precautions whatsoever. There are few cases where they actually use tech in a cool way to catch someone.
