"LeClair also brought the girl [15] flowers, attempted to give her a Dunkin' gift card, a Starbucks gift card, and he put $100 cash inside her phone case without her knowledge during school to help her buy a prom dress and a prom ticket. The Sheriff says detectives feel that although nothing sexual took place between the LeClair and the girl, it could've progressed to a sexual relationship if he had not been arrested. [...] According to the Sheriff's Office, LeClair is still behind bars on $50,000 bond. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison."

He will be plea-bargained into some kind of lifetime registration and supervision. The purpose of these laws is to make it impossible for creepy guys to teach, or find employment.
