Snapchat is the worst social media platform for child grooming offences, police data has revealed.
The app accounted for 40 per cent of recorded grooming offences where a tech platform was identified. This was more than four times the rate of Facebook and Instagram, which accounted for nine per cent each.
The figures, obtained by the children’s charity NSPCC, show that last year there were a record 7,263 offences of sexual communication. This crime was introduced in April 2017 to tackle groomers who target under-16s through mobile phones and social media.
The figures are published just two days after an NHS manager who sexually abused and raped young girls under 13 after grooming them on Snapchat was jailed for 28 years.

Bare in mind, most of those "child sex offences" will be teenagers sending nudes to one another. Also, who the fuck is grooming kids on Facebook... and how are there just as many as Instagram? Figure seems odd.
This whole social media craze is just another example of where MAPs are used as scapegoats to enact some sort of totalitarian laws. Governments and the elite don't like that people have been able to be anonymous online for so long and have decided to crack down on it — that's it. They're avoiding too much pushback because it looks like they're "protecting kids" when in reality they just don't like that you've been able to insult your local police force on Instagram without consequences.
