UK Law emphasizing need to "come to terms" with interest in "Children"

Post by Jim Burton »

This is interesting language, it sounds a lot like softly-softly Lucy Faithfull talk, almost apologizing for the "inevitability" of pedophilia, and can be seen in two recent stories:

"The defendant now shows deep shame and remorse for the impact it has had on her.

"He recognises what he’s done and admits he’s previously failed to accept his sexual interest in children.

"He has made a genuine effort to address his offending behaviour.”

Judge Andrew Stubbs KC told Henshaw: “You were thinking you were talking with a 14-year-old girl. You have to come to terms with your sexual interest in underage children.”
