A man who was accused of grooming two teenaged girls via online conversations was arrested and charged after they went missing.
On Saturday (January 31), the Martin County Sheriff’s Office announced that 12-year-old Lunabella Lozano and her sister, Kaelani Star Lozano, had been reported missing in a news release on Facebook.
In the release, they reported that the sisters were last seen around 5 p.m., noting that there had been “a delay” between that time and when authorities were notified.
The suspect was reported to be an “unknown adult Asian male.” He was later identified as 19-year-old Nebraska native Hser Mu Lah Say in a press conference.
In an update approximately 25 minutes after the sheriff’s office first announced that the girls were missing, they confirmed that the Lozano sisters had been safely recovered and a suspect had been arrested after his car was stopped by Georgia Highway Patrol.
