A mother is calling on the Scottish Government to tighten laws over parental access after her paedophile ex-partner demanded visits with their young child.
The Dunfermline mum says that although her former partner Adam Ng has been banned from being near other children after being convicted of accessing category A child sexual abuse material, she is preparing to battle his moves to access their own three-year-old.
The UK Government aims to introduce stricter controls over the access convicted sex offenders and domestic abusers have to their children – and now the Scottish Government is facing calls to do the same.
The mother said: “I can hardly believe the Scottish courts are allowing my paedophile ex to take me to court to get access to our child. As part of his sentence, Ng is banned from going near any child. But our system is allowing him to take legal action to force access to our child.
“Where is the protection for my innocent child whose short life has already been turned upside down by the man I had trusted?
