Cat Bodden, who was sexually abused by a family member as a child, never imagined she would work with convicted sex offenders.

But that's what she's done for the better part of a decade, in an effort to understand the mind of a pedophile.

This is better sentiment than most people have, but they are still treating us like something that needs to be "cured" and gotten rid of. Our relationships are not abuse and do not need to be cured.

Isn't this going to bias a person's perspective? I wonder how many people who work with sex offenders are former victims? Wouldn't that lead to projecting negative experiences onto situations where there are none? I'd be interested to see what a therapist with a positive experience with AMSC would have to say.

Has there been any progress at changing mandatory reporting laws outside of Germany, lately?
