Lexington man facing child rape charges

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Lexington man is facing charges after police say he raped a child under the age of 12 for several years while in his care.

According to court documents, the crimes Sidney Clark Scott is accused of happened between May 2015 and May 2018, when the victim was between five and eight years old.

Police say the victim and a younger sibling were forced to sleep in the same bed as Scott.
Police say Scott also spoke to the victim about not telling anyone of his alleged crimes.

His bond was set at $100,000.
