Locust Fork man arrested for child sex crimes, released on bond two days later

In Locust Fork, authorities arrested a man who they say was a suspect in child sex crimes.

The Blount County Sheriff's Office arrested 43-year-old James Mitchell on Wednesday, December 18.

Mitchell is facing charges of traveling to meet a child to perform a sexual act, transmitting and distributing obscene material to a child, and electronic solicitation.

Mitchell was released on bond Friday, December 20.
