Texas Bill Bans Minors From Social Media

https://www.yahoo.com/news/texas-bill-ban-minors-social-150200805.html

Another example of people infantilizing teens and taking away their rights. They think that teens are babies when often times they are smarter than adults. This law is just another unfortunate byproduct of the hysteria in today ...

Re: Mom sues Mattel after 'Wicked' doll exposes child to porn site, alleges 'emotional distress'

While I don't think they should have linked to that website, to say it caused "emotional distress" is absolutely crazy. I think Mattel should be held accountable to a degree, but it isn't the end of the world either and not the worst thing to happen by any margin.

What are your thoughts on these websites?

So there are websites out there that pose as and claim to be sites "promoting and celebrating nudism," but they clearly just use that as an excuse to be able to (sort-of) legally be able to make money off of photos and videos of naked children. If you look at the photos on those sites, nearly all of ...

Re: Preventing child sex abuse must involve treating pedophiles, even past offenders, say experts

This is better sentiment than most people have, but they are still treating us like something that needs to be "cured" and gotten rid of. Our relationships are not abuse and do not need to be cured.

Re: Gaetz nomination and MAP visibility

I was thinking about this too. Gaetz is getting a lot of unfair treatment from both sides due to something that isn't a big deal at all. It is gonna be tricky to get people on here to defend him because I'm sure a lot of people on here are left-wing, but we should defend people against these ...

Thoughts on this? I think overall it is a pretty good law in what is otherwise a very flawed country. As long as kids aren't being forced into marriages I see this as a win. Crazy to think that it is Iraq ...

Idk some of those teen girls be looking pretty as hell. Wouldn't exactly say that avoiding a relationship with them is "easy."

Both comments are wrong and I'm sure you likely know that already. No one deserves death for something only in their head, regardless of how "wrong" it seems.

Re: Infertile Korea: Teenage Boys Ruining the Lives of Fragile Women with Deepfake Porn

On a personal level I don't really like technology like this as it makes it hard to determine what images are real or not, and I like looking at real images. That being said some of the hysteria by people online about this technology is insane.
I unfortunately came across multiple news articles a ...

Re: "Harm Reduction" based arguments and cognitive dissonance

I agree with you on this.

Also, I am a little bit skeptical when it comes to therapy. Therapy can be good if it is used to help us get through our issues and live a normal life without changing who we are, but I am completely against it if it views what we are as "bad" and tries to change us to ...
