Re: What is everyone's stance on Epstein?
A fair trial was never going to happen with so much political involvement. It's politicians doing some things and helping the media to fling mud at their oponents. What was the actual crimes? We'll never really know.

Trying to structure my thinking
A useful exercise I'm going through is to examine the delta between two states.
To begin, I'm defining an end state. This is where I want the world to be from the perspective of a map.
An end state definition
"I live in a world where being a map is not considered a bad or dangerous thing. The ...

Re: THE MAP MOVEMENT IS OUT OF TIME
I'll put my two cents in.
I don't like to use terms such as liberals or conservatives, left or right. I don't see our situation as a political situation, it's a distraction, a red herring, it removes our focus on real issues and divides the community. Left and right, neither is openly pro-map. No ...

Re: Views sought re UK policing of online CSAM
I have some experience and views on this, having gone through the legal system.
In my case, I was charged with possessing cp since within our online photo albums there were several photos of a girl in what I'm told is a suggestive pose. So not naked, just in a pose playing a computer game with a ...

Re: Pedohunting
No, because it's vigilantes operating outside of the law and the safeguards that exist to ensure law enforcement is done fairly and safely.
If you have pedohunters then why not gay hunters or black person hunters or disabled person hunters or women hunters or kid hunters, as long as they say they ...

Re: On the death penalty
Personally I don't support the death penalty, there are just too many examples of innocent people being falsely executed.
If a person is in prison and it's discovered later that they are innocent then they can appeal and leave but that isn't an option for someone executed.
And even if someone ...

Re: Has society reached peak pedophile hatred?
I hope that's the case.
It has reached a silly level. Presidents, prince's, politicians, CEO's, everyone's being thrown under the bus. It doesn't matter if they're guilty, the media is having a field day trashing everyone they can. Meanwhile, in the UK alone 1,000 people are being arrested every ...

Re: In Defense of Necrophilia
On the issue of cannibalism, what would you think of human hunting where people who survive would win prizes. Personally, it would not be for me but I don't think that it should be stopped either.
Like you, it isn't for me but then I don't think I should stop others if that's what they really ...

Re: Using social media
I blog on subjects unrelated to maps and I'm openly map in those blogs because it often helps to create context.
For example, if talking about starting a business as someone with challenges in their life, or supporting people with personal issues, or getting back into education as part of a goal of ...
