You into the EU?
I haven't read much from the EU, mostly YouTube videos talking about different stories and periods. I should explore the EU more.
Now is the best time to do it since Disney will never adapt those stories they only pull from them.

The EU is more authentic since George Lucas was involved with it.
Well if you can recommend any books or other source material let me know.

A good place to start is Shadows of the empire which takes place after The Empire Strikes Back and right before Return of the jedi.

It is a video game comic book series and a novel with an audio drama and soundtrack.

Also Heir to the empire Dark force rising and The last command known as The Thrawn trilogy or the original sequel trilogy of books is great too.

Also checkout the 2003 Clone Wars TV show it is short but it is awesome and does a way better job connecting with the prequels unlike The Clone Wars 2008 version.

I re-watched the original trilogy not so long ago. It has some nostalgia value for me since I was really into it in the 7th grade but I'm more of a Star Trek person (depending on the series; DS9 and Voyager are my favorites, I mostly like Enterprise too and TNG to some degree when I can stomach some things that turn me off).

It took me around half an hour to get into A New Hope (I wasn't really into the fighting at the end, which I watched the next day). The Empire Strikes Back was my favorite, I might have been more into Return of the Jedi if I had been in a better mood, I don't know.

There was this S.W book I really liked at 12 or 13, "Tales of the Bounty Hunters." I might re-read it one day, I ordered a kindle sample a long time ago but if it was something I could get into I still chose some other book instead.

One thing I've never liked is how the 'droids are treated in the S.W universe, I doubt I'll ever re-watch the sequel trilogy but it is nice that they've tried to improve on that in the modern era. I might re-watch the prequel trilogy one day, I don't know.

The Mandalorian was ok once it picked up. Boba Fett too (maybe they're still running, I'm sure Mando at least is, I'll probably continue with it or them when they come back or eventually when I'm in the mood). I remember liking the Obi Wan Kenobi mini-series. I think I liked Solo well enough but I'm not sure I can see myself re-watching it.

I tried watching Rogue One but couldn't get past 25 minutes. After I started watching it I remembered that I had tried watching it years ago and gave up then too. I started the prequel tv series for Rogue One but I had been distracted and found something else to watch.

I'm not the biggest S.W fan.
