Absolutely not. In many preindustrialized societies, sexual contact with minors is commonplace. Trobriand tribes come to mind with no abnormal kinks. Hunter/gatherer and native American tribes had no unusual sexual interests despite AoC being around 14.

This argument sounds more like a way of saying sexual contact WILL damage a minor which is not true. This is why i think it's important to gather data on how AMSC ACTUALLY affects children instead of going by word of mouth, the only issue of course is how would we go about accomplishing such studies?

Usually the people who have amsc who don't develop weird interests are quiet about it so you're basically selecting for the people who probably would have had abnormal sexual desires anyways

Good point, and most people who go through AMSC and develop weird interests were likely raped/coerced so when they report that it makes it look as if consensual AMSC causes weird interests since most reports of AMSC are rape cases

Even if it did its questionable if these weird interests are really harmful. "Oh no I caused someone to like older mature women, the horror." "Oh no this person likes furry art." Developing strange tastes from AMSC isn't necessarily harmful as long as those states don't impede social functioning

I think it's unlikely that AMSC itself results in abnormal sexual interests. What I think is more likely is that experiencing AMSC as the minor makes someone less likely to adhere to other standards placed on sex, because once you've passed the "big #1 taboo" that you're told about in society early on, the others aren't really many steps ahead.

If society tells you that fucking a tree is wrong because it's weird, but you've had a history of doing the most wrong kind of sex and think you're fine despite it, you probably won't care what society says as much if you wake up one morning wanting to fuck a tree.

Human sexuality can be complicated. Loads of kinksters still debate on whether their fetishes were 'caused' by some random childhood experience, or whether they were just 'born that way.'

Honestly, it seems that sexuality can be malleable to an extent in certain individuals or at certain ages. Is it possible for an early experience to influence sexual interests? Could be. But personally, I have never understood guys who said something like, 'When I was a boy, an older man showed me his pee pee, and that caused me to develop an intense attraction to little girls.' Like what??
