That's exactly my thought for the last few months. I think people, who downplay the risk of it, underestimate what the future holds in terms of finding out who is a MAP. Mass surveillance with the help of AI can basically lead to arrests through simple search prompts. Might even go so far that we will have mandatory brain scans looking for specific "pedophilic" parts, it wouldn't even matter how many people would technically fall under those conditions, it's all about taking control of a dangerous group after all. Seriously, it might sound a bit exaggerated, but that would be all the result of a slow process we possibly experience already now.

Yeah, surveillance hasn't made people more accepting of human flaws. I do think the combination of virtually being able to mind read people, without the necessary self-reflection and suspension of judgement may end up destroying everything. Society has gotten less tolerant and more puritanical in many ways. There's no excuse to be "evil". Think of cancel culture: you prevent a person from working anywhere or having any associates, there's never any forgiveness, just a never ending hate mob.

Fascism is on the rise again, and it might become more evil than it ever was. We present the perfect target for being the ultimate scapegoat. Most conspiracy theories about MAPs are basically the same that once were used for Jews. The "woke" culture, that currently finds it end, has left a mass of people that lowered their tolerance towards sexual minorities significantly. The moral panic about anything that possibly "violates" sexual consent is already on its peak. What is the main reason of LBGTQ being considered as a danger and therefore not being widely accepted? It's all about the sexualization of children and normalizing pedophilia after all. Even if the discourse is still very quiet about us, it only needs one push and we become the new cultural phenomena that must be eradicated.

I'd say in some ways we are even more universally hated than the Jews in Nazi Germany. There were, although not enough, some Germans that stood up against Nazism; and Jews were well integrated into society prior to the rise of Nazism. Where are those people that would loudly condemn our persecution? Where are we accepted? The help we get is begrudging. It's a side effect of supporting prison reform, opposing the death penalty, or supporting civil liberties.

Trump's America is probably the optimal starting point for all this, as it's also the most hostile country to MAPs already. He advocates for death penalty and there are voices who demand criminal pedophiles to fall under this category. Who will stop them expanding their own definition for who is a criminal pedophile? Why does no one consider pedophilia becoming a crime on its own in the future? All what's happening in the world right now is truly scary and especially for us. I hope for the best, as I'm usually optimistic about things, but in this case I have a very bad feeling.

Of course. Trump doesn't care about rule of law, people's rights, or even national sovereignty. He will use everything in his power to centralize authority, and enact laws that are completely absurd. If he's willing to try to get rid of birth right citizenship, does anyone believe he wouldn't be willing to put thought-crimes into law? FFS, he's talking about trying to take control of Greenland.

If the world survives the Trump presidency, then hopefully the pendulum will swing in the opposite direction. I don't know though, I feel like the general public is too far gone, and it may take an absolutely massive catastrophe before people can be begin to understand how fucked things are.

I don't think it is appropriate to talk about genocide. You cannot eradicate something which is part of human nature (and with all probability part of other species too). New MAPs are born at each generation, and so it will be forever and ever.

What's an example of a genocide where the victim group actually became extinct? If your definition of genocide excludes the holocaust, it probably is unreasonably restrictive.

I meant what also Valerian is saying here above. Minor attraction is part of being human. A genocide potentially eliminates a group forever, but with MAPs is different: You can get rid of all MAPs, but non-MAPs parents can always 'generate' MAP children.

That said, the fact that what is going on is not technically a genocide, doesn't make it less serious. Even more so, it should make the antis reflect that they are tilting at windmills.

You misunderstand me. No genocide in recorded history has ever succeeded at eliminating a group. If this is a requirement for a mass killing to count as a genocide, then basically no historical genocides would count. Obviously the holocaust counts as a genocide, so complete extinction is not a reasonable requirement for a mass killing to count as a genocide.

Yes 100%. If you search up a reddit post from a decade or more ago on the subject of pedophiles, the views are alot more nuanced. If you search up a reddit post from 2020 to now on the subject of pedophiles, the only thing in the comments will be “BASH PEDO WITH ROCK!”, and while yes, this is just reddit, this shift from nuanced views to “MUST BASH PEDO WITH ROCK” has become a thing across all social medica platforms, news outlets, scientiffic journals, and real life, everyday interactions. Of course they wont actually be able to get rid of us. Genocide is never actually successful, and after a genocide is the time of acceptance. This happens every century, hell, every couple of decades, no one gave a shit about pedophillia before the 80s, they were too busy worrying about gays and commies. Weve been doing this since the dawn of time. It was “MUST BASH WITCH WITH ROCK” then “MUST BASH NEGROES WITH ROCK” the “MUST BASH JEWS WITH ROCK” then “MUST BASH COMMIES WITH ROCK” and then “MUST BASH GAY WITH ROCK”. Hell, I wouldnt be surprised if this is how humans were when fire was first discovered. The members of the tribe that liked fire were seen as evil fire starters who wanted to burn every one alive, and were outcasted from the group or killed, then the rest of the tribe saw the benefit of fire when it came to cooking food, preserving meats, and staying warm, and fully embraced fire and fire starters. Humans have a habit of picking a minority group in a population, blaming every single one of their problems on said group, bonding together over trying to torture or murder said group out of existence, and then realizing that it wont work and that the hysteria and witch hunting causes more problems for society than just working with and accepting said group. Theres nothing special about pedophillia, and I only give the pedo hysteria a couple more decades, if even, before mapness is fully embraced and accepted, especially since a hysteria is never sustainable at this level without societal collapse, so society will have no other choice than to eventually accept and embrace us, like they did with the witches and the communists and the gays and the blacks. But before that love there must be hatred. Of course we’ll face a genocide, just like every other marginalized group. Multiple states in America are already trying to implement the death penalty for those convicted of amsc or PIM charges, and the death penalty is already the punishment for amsc in other countries.
