What would you be doing if you weren't a MAP?

Post by PorcelainLark »

There are a lot of things I'm interested in, that I don't pursue because of being a MAP. For example, teaching, politics, and public debates.

How about you guys? Are there any opportunities you've passed up?

Basically what I'm already doing now, just without my secret second life.
Maybe I'd have a different hobby, not sure.

I wouldn't give up my current life though, despite the hate I still love myself and won't let anyone tell me otherwise. They just don't understand the beauty that we get to appreciate. :)

I'd be posting on P Forum: Discussion forums for People and allies.
In all seriousness, I don't think I'd be doing anything different, except for dreading life a lot less.

That's good. It's probably healthier than obsessing about things out of your reach, like I do.

True.

Pµ, doesn't sound as appealing for some reason :|

Why does being a MAP prevent you being a teacher, Lark? If anything, I would say a lot of MAPs become teachers because they're MAPs.

In my case, I would probably do medical research or law if I were not a MAP. But those fields are not good for meeting boys, and law would more or less require me to live in my horrific 'home country'.

I'm not that worried about self-control, it's more the dishonesty I dislike. I don't want to have to lie, even by omission.

Law is interesting, but I can kind of get not wanting to do a job because you don't want to live in the place where you'd have to be to do it.

Both law and medicine are popular career choices for Teleio gays in my country.

I don't even qualify as MAP, but I'm here, so...

I doubt I'd have become a teacher.

I might still be Mormon. Maybe a Bishop in the church with a career in law and a big family with 6 kids.
If only some people can have it, that's not happiness. That's just nonsense. Happiness is something anyone can have.

I think I would be doing the same except being in the MAP Community and I would be with a Boyfriend or a Girlfriend. Who knows? If my sexual orientation were different maybe the gender of attraction would be different too.
