UPDATE: Idaho Governor Brad Little signed a bill into law which allows the death penalty for pedophiIes and makes firing squad the primary method of execution

Just like capital murder destroys lives, aggravated sexual abuse of a young child devastates victims and families for generations. The sexual abuse of children is sickening and evil, and these perpetrators convicted of these crimes deserve the ultimate punishment. Idaho also just became the ONLY state to make death by firing squad the primary method of execution. I commend my partners in the Legislature for strengthening Idaho's already powerful 'tough on crime' reputation among the states,

The replies are as you would expect, full of hatred and disdain for pedophiles. I only wish they used words such as "sex offenders" instead of "pedophiles". It is important to note that I am fully against the abuse of a child, in any form. This however is not a good solution. This will only further silence reports of abuse, not prevent it or "bring abusers to justice". Your logic is flawed greatly, Governor Brad Little.

The fact that "sexual abuse of a young child devastates victims and families for generations" is now being used to support partisan redneck murderturtle policies, is a very useful talking point for pro-c MAPs, and gives them some long term leverage over the dem party IMO.

When will the temptation be too strong for dems to shoot back "well, in fact the evidence...".
