I provided you a link to his yesmap wiki page, his wikipedia is only in Dutch.

He's the activist that protested in Amsterdam against the exclusion of MAPs at Pride, and he was the last chair of the PNVD political party in the Netherlands.
He was 'captured' by Tim Ballard, from operation underground railroad OUR. And has been sitting in a cell in the Mexico City Oriente Prison for three years now without a trial and no support in any way at all. He was in Mexico legally as a refugee. And there's no evidence in his contrary at all.

Here's my honest opinion.

The main reason Nelson is not receiving donations is because people are nervous about sending donations, not because they're unwilling to spare a few dollars for a politically imprisoned supporter of MAPs.

There needs to be a PO Box that can receive donations, not an embassy address for a country where you more or less state that donations will be pilfered by postal officers unless the cash is carefully concealed.

A bank account owned by... someone?... is also unlikely to be trusted.

How can you offer a safe way for people to send money without compromising yourself in the process? That is the key question.

I'm posting this not out of aggression - as your efforts are laudable - but to hopefully help somewhat.

Uhhm, that's literary any country? Okay, who's going to set that up? Nelson? That's the damn problem. You know there is a billion times bigger chance that they'll find you for visiting this site, even on TOR fully protected by tails, sitting in McDonald's across the state using their WiFi, than that they try to track you trough an anominous cash transfer to the girlfriend of some Cartel dude that even Nelson doesn't know. There's about 50 Americans using those accounts the same way. There exist no safer way, not even freaking Cryptocurrencies.

It's not even fear or paranoid, it's a complete lack of security knowledge. Anyway, better chance finding a publisher or literary agent for Nelson than a useful MAP I guess. Maybe he can use the money he makes himself to break out or something, because a trial he'll never get if nobody cares.

I'm sorry I upset you, but you need to understand that the main reason Nelson isn't receiving donations is not that MAPs are unwilling to part with a few dollars. It's that we have a very justifiable paranoia of a knock on the door, and the options you're offering are simply not secure enough.

Your efforts to help Nelson are worthy of praise, but you need to put yourself in our position. We don't want to get outed, and the suggested solutions are a bit scary to the vast majority of our community. Hearing that the in-between would be a Cartel money mule doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

Important update;

Last friday the 11th of April 2025 Nelson Maatman has started a hunger strike against the ambassador of the Netherlands Wilfred Mohr and UNHCR of the United Nations in protest of the failure to be represented justly as a politically incarcerated refugee in face of the grave and daily human rights violations he suffers. Which includes discrimination, extortion and maltreatment. He's targeted by agents of the Mexican government not just for his political background, but more and more for his homosexuality and his relationship with his fiance who they've separated from him in revenge for complaints of LGBTQ discrimination.

I remember when I was younger I was scared of having anything to do with crypto currency because I felt like it was associated with illegal activities. I wonder if that's part of the reservation he has?
